108 persons have been arrested during the past 24 hours on charges of violating quarantine regulations.
Police said 54,359 persons have been arrested on the relevant charges thus far.
Meanwhile 582 persons attempting to travel across provincial borders of the Western Province were issued stern warnings and sent back, for attempting to violate travel restrictions.
Police said operations pertaining to quarantine regulations will continue, while requesting the public not to violate the law imposed to curb the spread of the pandemic.
