The Ministry of Health says it is concerning that the number of coronavirus infected patients who require oxygen supply has been increasing.
Speaking during a media briefing in Colombo, Head of the Disaster Preparedness and Response Division of the Ministry of Health Dr. Hemantha Herath said if the number of persons depending on oxygen exceeds the current capacity, the health system could face critical issues.
Dr. Hemantha Herath also noted that if the general public forms a mindset that reopening the country means freedom to carry out regular activities, it could lead to a catastrophic situation.
