COVID-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka exceed 300,000

The number of COVID-19 recoveries recorded in Sri Lanka has exceeded 300,000.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 2,244 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals today, increasing total recoveries to 300,406.

The number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in the country increased to 339,092 following the detection of 2,922 patients yesterday.

33,346 persons are currently receiving treatment for the coronavirus at several facilities across the country.
