The number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in the country has risen to 631,816.
The Department of Government Information said 1,217 persons tested positive for the virus today.
Accordingly 19,875 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities across the country.
Earlier today, 393 persons who recovered from COVID-19 were discharged from hospitals, raising the number of recoveries in the country to 596,042.
Sri Lanka’s coronavirus death toll is currently at 15,899.
