The case filed by Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva against the Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party over the move to remove him from the posts he is holding within the SLFP, has been settled.
NewsRadio court correspondent said after two parties agreed for an out of court settlement, the Judge lifted the injunction issued on the SLFP Central Committee, preventing it from removing Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva from holding posts within the SLFP.
The order was issued by Colombo District Judge Purnima Paranagama.
A few weeks ago, the SLFP announced that it was taking steps to remove Minister de Silva from the party for taking up a Ministerial portfolio contrary to the Party’s decision.
Accordingly, the Minister filed a petition before the Colombo District Court seeking an injunction.
