Court has denied a request to allow State Minister Sanath Nishantha to travel overseas.
The order was issued by the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today (16).
Attorneys representing State Minister Nishantha made a request from Court last week to grant consent for him to travel overseas.
The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Parliamentarian is one of the chief suspects in the case being heard in relation to the unrest and violence reported on the 9th of May outside Temple Trees and at Galle Face.
He was arrested and released on bail in connection with the attack on protesters on the 9th of May.
