Coronavirus caseload increases to 555,700

Sri Lanka’s coronavirus caseload has increased to 555,700.

496 individuals, all linked to the New Year cluster, tested positive for COVID-19 thus far today.

442 individuals earlier recovered from COVID-19 and were discharged raising recoveries to 526,353.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 15,239 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities.

22 coronavirus deaths were also confirmed today increasing Sri Lanka’s coronavirus death toll to 14,108.
