Consignment of 1.5 tons of tea leaves from Sri Lanka to Turkey

The donation of a consignment of 1.5 tons of tea by Sri Lanka for those affected by the recent earthquake has left for Turkey.

COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The donation of a consignment of 1.5 tons of tea by Sri Lanka for those affected by the recent earthquake has left for Turkey.

The Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Colombo said the consignment left the Bandaranaike International Airport last evening and will be delivered to the Ministry of Interior Disaster and Emergency Management Authority.

Meanwhile, yesterday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the death toll in Turkey due to last week’s earthquake has increased to 35,418.
