COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The committee appointed to look into the alleged kidney racket at a hospital in Borella has recommended to temporarily suspend organ transplantation surgeries at the said facility.
The Attorney General informed the Court of Appeal that the committee has recommended that the approval granted to the hospital to perform kidney transplantation surgeries be temporarily halted.
Additional Solicitor General Vikum de Abrew appearing for the Attorney General made this revelation when a writ petition filed in this regard was taken up at the Court of Appeal today.
