COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Parliamentary Committee on High Posts has approved the appointments of three new ambassadors.

Accordingly, approval has been given to the appointment of Kapila Susantha Jayaweera as the new Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Lebanon.

The Committee on High Posts has also approved the appointment of HMGRRK Wijeratne Mendis as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Communication Department of Parliament said the Committee chaired by Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva also ratified the appointment of KK Theshantha Kumarasiri as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Federal Republic of Ethiopia and the Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the African Union.

Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and Members of Parliament Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Sudarshini Fernandopulle and Vijitha Herath attended the meeting to ratify the appointments.
