COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Aviation is seeking to take steps to attract more cruise liners to Sri Lanka.
Several super luxury and luxury cruise liners reached the Colombo Harbour in recent weeks.
Subject Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva is of the view that Colombo can be made an attractive destination for cruise liners which passes through the Indian Ocean frequently.
Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva has said the tourism industry will immensely benefit of luxury vessel dock at the Colombo Port for even one or two days.
Accordingly, several steps are to be taken to facilitate the arrival of cruise liners to the Colombo Port.
