COLOMBO (NewsRadio); A delegation comprising of officials of the Chinese government and Provincial governments as well as business leaders are scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next month.
Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong said the delegation will explore new investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.
Speaking during an event to handover a Rs.4 million worth of medicines at the Ministry of Health premises, Ambassador Qi Zhenhong said no external parties can damage the close friendship and ties between China and Sri Lanka.
The Ambassador noted that China stands ready to support Sri Lanka to overcome the challenges it is facing at present.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Qi Zhenhong added that the number of direct flights between Sri Lanka and China will be increased in the months of April and May.
He expects closer connectivity between the two nations to help Sri Lanka’s economy further.
