China extended its dominance at the top of the 2020 Tokyo Medals Table by winning gold medals in Badminton, Judo, Swimming and Table Tennis events on Day Seven of the competition.
China now has 19 golds, 10 silvers and 11 bronzes medals for a tally of 40.
Hosts Japan is placed second with 17 golds, four silvers and seven bronze medals.
The United States’ tally of 41 medals, consists 14 golds, 16 silvers and 11 bronze medals.
The Russian Olympic Committee has secured 10 gold medals to be placed fourth in standings ahead of Australia which has won nine gold medals.
Great Britain, South Korea, the Netherlands, France and Germany are the remaining countries in the top 10 of the Tokyo Olympic Medals Table.
End of Day Seven, 70 countries have won at least one medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
