The Government Medical Laboratory Professionals Association says responsible Ministers must make a clear statement if the data of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority has not been erased, as claimed.

Speaking to NewsRadio, President of the Association Ravi Kumudesh said if such claims are false they must be corrected.

Kumudesh said Channa Jayasumana as the State Minister in charge of Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals, must provide a detailed explanation over the incident, adding that he instead responded irresponsibly blaming the opposition instead of addressing the prevalent concerns.

Kumudesh noted the State Minister is attempting to transform the incident to a political incident and has forgotten that he should bear responsibility as the subject Minister.
