Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera says the Ceylon Electricity Board incurred a total revenue of Rs.35.6 billion in November.
The Minister said with the current tariff structure the CEB’s total revenue for October stood at Rs.33.6 billion.
Minister Wijesekera said the CEB requirement for Heavy Fuel Oil, Naphtha and Diesel to operate power stations for January 2023 is Rs.35 billion.
He noted that the requirement for coal payments for January is Rs.38.45 billion.
