A high-profile Canadian business delegation of nearly 20 members called on Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry today (3).
The group is led by Parliamentarian for Lethbridge, Alberta, Shadow Minister for Canadian Heritage Rachel Thomas.
The delegation called on the Minister at the Ministry premises this afternoon.
The Canadian business delegation mainly consists of Sri Lankan expatriates of all communities.
Minister Sabry said the two parties discussed ways and means to improve business between the two countries, promoting Sri Lankan businesses in Canada, investment opportunities in Sri Lanka, and promoting Sri Lanka as a tourist destination.
The Minister said he was delighted to witness the enthusiasm and drive of the Sri Lankan expatriate community towards building Sri Lanka, building bridges between the communities, and the achieving lasting peace.
