The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the recommendations to restructure the Ceylon Electricity Board.

Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said approval was granted today to the recommendations proposed by the committee appointed pertaining to looking into restructuring the CEB.

The Minister said the Electricity Reforms Bill will be drafted within a month to begin the unbundling process of the CEB.

He noted that they will work on a rapid timeline to seek the approval of Parliament as well.
