The report by the three-member investigation committee appointed on the request of former Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva to conduct an impartial investigation into allegations published via print and social media that a bribe was demanded by the Former Minister from Japanese company Thaipei has been handed over to Secretary to the President, Saman Ekanayaka this afternoon at the President’s house.
The President’s Media Division stated the chairperson of the investigation committee, retired High Court Judge Kusala Sarojani Weerawardena handed over the report to the Secretary to the President.
The three-member investigation committee was appointed by President Ranil Wickremesinghe on the 22nd of July.
