The body of the 22-year-old girl was found based on information provided by an individual who was arrested over the incident.
Police said the body was identified by relatives earlier today.
Police investigations were launched after the girl was reported missing since Sunday after leaving the house for work.

The 24-year-old from the same area who was arrested had confessed to forcefully taking the girl to a shrubbery in an attempt to sexually abuse her.
He had murdered the girl and buried her body.
Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said upon questioning, the suspect had met the girl on Sunday on her way to work.
CCTV footage obtained from the Elpitiya Mosque by the Gampola Police, also showed the missing girl walking towards the Weligalla town.
Police launched a major operation to locate her after she was reported missing.
Information about her only surfaced yesterday with the 24-year-old confessing to Police of murdering the 22-year-old girl.
