Sri Lanka Cricket Blues beat Greys by 4 wickets last evening to remain unbeaten in the SLC Invitational T20 League tournament.
Blues, chasing a below-par 116-run target to claim back-to-back wins in the tournament crossed the mark in 18.3 overs.
Skipper Charith Asalanka top scored with 29 while in-form Ashen Bandara remained unbeaten on 27.
For Greys, Milan Rathnayake had figures of 3/20.
Earlier after opting to bat first Greys managed just 115/9 in their allotted 20 overs.
Only opener Thanuka Dabare scored 33 while the rest of the batters faltered.
For Blues, ace spinner Praveen Jayawickrama had figures of 3/13 while Chamika Karunaratne finished with 2/20.
Blues beat Greens by 32 runs in the opening day of the tournament and remain on top of the points table.
Meanwhile in the earlier encounter yesterday, Niroshan Dickwella spearheaded Greens to claim a decisive 8-run win over Reds.
After opting to bat first, Greens went onto make 161/6 in their 20 overs.
Dickwella hit an impressive 76 off 56 deliveries which included eight boundaries.
Asitha Fernando continued his wicket-taking form finishing with 2/32.
Reds top order gave an ideal start to the chase, but the middle order could not capitalise on it and secure their second win of the tournament.
Despite, Lasith Croospulle, skipper Kusal Mendis and Bhanuka Rajapaksa making 30s, the Reds finished on 153/5 in their 20 overs.
The Greens attack was economical with five bowlers taking a wicket apiece.
Yesterday’s matches were played at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.
Meanwhile, two more matches will be worked off at the same venue on Saturday before the final of the SLC Invitational T20 League tournament on Monday.
