Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry has engaged in a round of discussions with former Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon.
Ban Ki-moon is the current chair of the Global Green Growth Institute.
During today’s (7) meeting, constructive discussions on strengthening cooperation between Sri Lanka and the GGGI to achieve the Sri Lankan Government’s green initiatives.
The former UN Secretary General arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday on an official visit.
Ban Ki-moon is set to sign agreements on behalf of the GGGI with Sri Lanka.
The proposed Climate Change University to be set up in Sri Lanka will also be discussed during his visit.
