Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry has cited three reasons for Sri Lanka’s economic crisis.
The Minister said bad fiscal management over a period of time, bad luck and bad policies led to Sri Lanka’s crisis.
However, the Minister was also positive of the growth and potential in Sri Lanka with investors and tourists visiting the country increasing significantly in the recent past.
Minister Sabry sat down for a discussion with Bangladesh’s The Daily Star during his visit to Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Minister Sabry travelled to Bangladesh to attend the 24th Meeting of the Committee of Senior Officials of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA).
