The National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak says the number of attendees allowed at a wedding have been reduced to 50.
The Head of the Centre Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said the decision was reached to further limit attendees owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
Previously, 150 persons were allowed at a reception hall that can accommodate 500 individuals while 100 guests were allowed at reception halls that can accommodate less than 500 guests.
