The Court of Appeal today decided to take up the petition filed seeking an injunction order on the decision to import of organic fertilizer on the 11th of November.
The petition filed by the Centre for Environmental Justice was taken up before Appeals Court bench comprising Justices Sobitha Rajakaruna and Dhammika Ganepola.
When the case was taken up today, the Attorney General has informed that organic fertiliser will not be imported while steps have been taken to prevent the ship carrying a stock of organic fertiliser from entering the country.
Considering the submissions made by the Attorney General, the Appeals Court Bench decided to adjourned the case until the 11th of November.
