The Police Media Division said an individual was apprehended on charges of forcibly entering and setting fire to the private residence of Minister Keheliya Rambukwella in Kandy.
The suspect is a 30-year-old resident of Dimbula Pathana, Rawanagoda.
The Kandy Police is conducting further investigations.
Meanwhile, another person has been arrested for forcibly entering the private residence of Parliamentarian Akila Ellawala in Balangoda and setting fire to vehicles and goods on the 9th of May.
The Police Media Division said the individual was arrested by officers attached to the Balangoda Police.
He is a 36-year-old resident of Pettigalawatta Balangoda.
Investigations are underway over the incident by the Balangoda Police.
