(NewsRadio); Another group of ten Sri Lankans, including three children from Mullaitivu have fled to India.
The Hindu reported that the group reached India’s Dhanushkodi on a vessel.
The Indian Marine Police had then brought the Lankans to the Mandapam station for an interrogation.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that the 10 people from Mullaitivu had decided to leave their country following the economic crisis, and the prices of essential goods touching new highs.
The Lankans had claimed that they were not getting jobs regularly.
The authorities, after completing verification, had sent the Lankans to the Mandapam Rehabilitation Centre.
Officials have said last month, five persons arrived in Tamil Nadu in a vessel.
There are a little over 250 refugees staying at the Mandapam Rehabilitation Centre.
