Another suspect has been arrested in connection to the incident of a hand grenade being found in a toilet of a private hospital in Narahenpita.
Police said the suspect is a 22-year-old resident of Trincomalee.
Police suspect the individual had assisted the main perpetrator of the crime to assemble the explosive device.
Authorities will hold the individual under detention orders for questioning.
The hand grenade was found by Police on the first floor of a private hospital in Narahenpita on the 14th of September.
It was meticulously merged with a lit mosquito coil, with the safety pin off so that it could explode after a few minutes.
The Colombo Crimes Division is conducting further investigations.
