Another stock of 1,000MT of rice donated by China reaches SL

Another stock of rice has been donated by China to Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, 10,000MT of rice or 10 million kilograms donated by China has been delivered to Sri Lanka thus far.

The Chinese Embassy in Colombo stated that a stock of 1,000MT of rice arrived in the island yesterday (19).

The Embassy stated that this donation is aimed at supporting nutrition and studies of over one million students in 7,900 school across the island.

The Chinese Embassy also stated that the rice was donated to Sri Lanka in 12 separate batches.

10 million kilograms (10,000 metric tons) of rice donation promised by #China have all been delivered to #SriLanka with the last 1,000 MT arrived on Mon (19), to firmly support their nutrition and studies of over 1 million students in 7,900 school across the island.
