Another 505 coronavirus cases have been added to Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 caseload.
The Ministry of Health said the cases were reported between the 15th and the 22nd of September but were not added to the national tally during the past eight days.
Accordingly, the number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in Sri Lanka has risen to 517,882.
46,891 coronavirus infected individuals are currently receiving treatment at home or at various facilities across the country.
Meanwhile, 597 persons have recovered from COVID-19 and have been discharged from hospitals during the past 24 hours, raising the number of recoveries in the country to 458,085.
Meanwhile, yesterday, another 59 coronavirus related fatalities were confirmed in Sri Lanka, raising the death toll to 12,906.
