Another 2,173 persons who contracted the novel coronavirus have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals, raising the number of recoveries to 304,628.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said accordingly, 34,870 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities across the country.
The number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in Sri Lanka remains at 345,118 following the detection of 3,039 patients yesterday.
Sri Lanka’s coronavirus death toll is currently at 5,620.
