Another 2,150 COVID-19 cases detected in Sri Lanka

Another 2,150 COVID-19 cases have been detected today in the country, raising the number of confirmed infections to 308,812.

Another 2,150 COVID-19 cases have been detected in Sri Lanka today, raising the number of confirmed infections to 308,812. All new cases have been linked to the New Year COVID-19 cluster.

Accordingly, the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 27,314 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities across the country.

Earlier today, 1,906 persons who recovered from COVID-19 were discharged from hospitals, raising the number of recoveries in the country to 277,118.

1,387 suspected COVID-19 cases are also under medical observation at present.
