(NewsRadio); A 28-year old Sri Lanka Air Force personnel has died while another has sustained injuries following an explosion at the Kandakuliya Air Force Field Firing Range Kalpitiya.
Police said the injured airman has been admitted to the Kalpitiya Hospital.
The cause of the explosion has not been ascertained thus far.
A team from the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters will leave for Kalpitiya to investigate the incident.
