Agreements reached with CEB & CPC trade unions over salary increment to be terminated

Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says the agreements reached with trade unions of the Ceylon Electricity Board and the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation pertaining to salary increment and annul bonus payments will be terminated.

COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera says the collective agreements reached with trade unions of the Ceylon Electricity Board and the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation pertaining to salary increment and annul bonus payments will be terminated.

Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said the agreements entered with Trade unions of the CEB and the CPC for 25 percent salary increment every three years, annual bonuses, allowances and other benefits will not be continued or renewed.

The Minister noted that he has instructed the Secretary to the Ministry of Power and Energy to commence the process to terminate them.
