Additional buses & trains during Christmas and New Year period

COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Special bus and train services are in place for the convenience of the public during the festive period.

The Ministry of Transport said additional buses have been deployed to transport people from Colombo to outstation areas.

The Ministry confirmed 40 additional buses will leave Pettah and Makumbura Bus Stands during the Christmas and New year period.

Meanwhile Sri Lanka Railways has deployed a special train to Badulla during the Christmas period.

The Ministry said arrangements will also be made to deploy additional buses and trains next week to transport people returning to Colombo from major towns.
