72,475 COVID-19 vaccines were administered in Sri Lanka yesterday.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 4,512 individuals were administered the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine while 4,052 received the second dose.

Meanwhile 18,593 persons were administered the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine, while 40,085 persons received the second dose.

980 persons were given the first jab of the Pfizer vaccine, and 73 received the second dose.

3,980 individuals were inoculated with the first Moderna shot while 195 persons received the second Moderna jab.

Five persons were also jabbed with the first dose of the Sputnik-V vaccine.
