722 individuals tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday increasing Sri Lanka’s virus caseload to 563,989.

719 individuals were identified from the New Year cluster, while three individuals who arrived in the from overseas also tested positive for COVID.

347 individuals were discharged during the past 24-hours after recovering from COVID-19 raising total recoveries to 540,387.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 9,256 persons are currently receiving treatment for the coronavirus at several facilities.

18 coronavirus deaths were also confirmed to have been reported on the 29th of November increasing the death toll to 14,364.
