66 COVID-related deaths confirmed today

66 COVID-19 related deaths have been confirmed today.

The Government Information Department said the deaths were reported to have occurred yesterday, the 20th of September.

30 males and 36 females were among the victims.

53 individuals, 23 males and 30 females, were 60 years or above while 11 persons, six males and five females, were between the ages of 30 and 59.

One male and a female among the fatalities were identified as below 30 years of age.

Accordingly, Sri Lanka’s coronavirus death toll increases to 12,284.
