Another 5,424 vaccine doses have been administered against the coronavirus at vaccination centres across Sri Lanka yesterday.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 16 individuals received the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine while 240 persons received the second Sinopharm jab.
436 individuals received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, while 843 persons received the second dose. 3,889 individuals received the Pfizer booster jab as well.
Accordingly, 7,867,739 persons have thus far been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
