512 individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 thus far today.

Accordingly, Sri Lanka’s coronavirus caseload increases to 549,296.

All new infections were linked to the New Year cluster.

381 individuals earlier recovered from COVID-19 and were discharged during the past 24-hours raising total recoveries to 523,503.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 11,843 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities.
