50% resources for COVID care, causing issues-JVP

The JVP claims many issues have arisen within the hospital network due to the government directing 50% of hospital resources for coronavirus patients.

The JVP claims many issues have arisen within the hospital network due to the government directing 50% of hospital resources for coronavirus patients.

Speaking to media, Leader of the JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake said medication to treat patients with other conditions are scarce.

He stressed, medication for patients with pneumonia at the Colombo National Hospital has run out.

The Parliamentarian added a shortage of medicine is eminent. He added many health sector employees including nurses, doctors and hospital staff have tested positive for the virus.
