490,805 COVID vaccine doses have been administered in the country yesterday.

The Ministry of Health said 307,267 individuals received the second dose of the Sinopharm vaccine yesterday while the first jab was administered to 153,958 persons.

The Health Ministry added 25,576 individuals received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine while the second jab was given to 3,620 persons.

Furthermore, 169 individuals received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine while 215 others obtained the second jab.

Accordingly, 14,510,465 vaccine doses have been administered in Sri Lanka since January.

3,249,670 individuals in total have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in the country through the use of AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Sputnik V and Pfizer.
