Minister of Tourism Prasanna Ranatunga says concessions have been provided to 4,746 tour guides and drivers registered with the Tourism Development Authority, who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, amounting to Rs.81 million.

The Ministry said the sum was granted as an allowance of Rs.20,000 for tour guides and Rs.15,000 for drivers.

Allowances have been provided for 2,510 guides and 2,236 drivers.
