437,878 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country, yesterday, the highest number within a day since January this year.
The Ministry of Health said 356,628 persons were given the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine while the second dose was administered to 55,722 individuals yesterday.
108 individuals were given the Pfizer vaccine while 25,420 persons were also inoculated yesterday with Moderna vaccine doses.
Accordingly, 9,678,787 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Sri Lanka since January.
The Health Ministry said 7,383,998 Sinopharm vaccine doses, 1,311,127 doses of the AstraZeneca Covishield vaccine, 696,003 doses of the Moderna vaccine, 173,584 doses of the Sputnik V and 114,075 Pfizer vaccine doses have been administered in the country.
1,862,334 individuals have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 thus far in Sri Lanka.
