429 discharged; COVID-recoveries up to 524,740

Sri Lanka’s coronavirus recoveries have risen to 524,740.

429 individuals recovered from the virus and were discharged during the past 24-hours.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases rose to 552,274 with the detection of 732 patients yesterday.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 13,518 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities.

Meanwhile, yesterday, another 21 coronavirus-related fatalities were confirmed in Sri Lanka, raising the death toll to 14,016.
