Another 412,211 individuals have been vaccinated against COVID-19 yesterday.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said yesterday’s tally marks the highest single day vaccinations via the government vaccination drive to date.
306,622 individuals were inoculated with the first dose of the Chinese manufactured Sinopharm vaccine while, 35,720 persons received the second jab.
Meanwhile, 69,830 individuals received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine, and 39 were inoculated with the Sputnik-V dose.
Accordingly, 1,793,472 individuals have been inoculated with both COVID vaccine doses in Sri Lanka thus far.
