413 COVID-19 cases have been identified from both the Colombo and Galle Districts yesterday.
The number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in the country rose to 327,038 following the detection of 2,815 patients yesterday.
The National Operation Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak said 324 infections were detected from Kalutara, 243 from Gampaha, 171 from Kurunegala, 158 from Ratnapura, 146 from Kandy and 128 each from Ampara and Badulla.
Furthermore, 95 coronavirus patients were detected in Nuwara Eliya, 90 in Kilinochchi, 87 in Matale, 78 in Matara, 70 in Batticaloa, 51 in Polonnaruwa and 50 in Puttalam.
Meanwhile 33 individuals had contracted the virus in Anuradhapura and Monaragala, 30 in Kegalle, 19 in Vavuniya including 19 individuals who arrived in the island recently from overseas.
13 COVID-positive cases were detected in Hambantota, nine in Trincomalee, eight in Jaffna, five in Mannar and one in Mullaitivu.
