3,315 COVID-cases detected thus far today

3,315 COVID-19 cases have been detected in Sri Lanka thus far today.

Accordingly, the country’s total coronavirus cases increased to 397,670.

All 3,315 individuals were linked to the New Year cluster.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 43,343 individuals are currently being treated for the coronavirus at facilities across the island.

2,386 individuals recovered from COVID-19 and were discharged during the past 24-hours raising total coronavirus recoveries to 346,767.
