More than 300 new COVID-19 cases each have been detected from the Kalutara and Gampaha districts yesterday.
2,510 coronavirus cases were confirmed in Sri Lanka yesterday.
The National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak said accordingly 398 infections were recorded from the Kalutara district while 384 were identified from the Gampaha district.
Furthermore, 189 new COVID-19 cases from Matale, 181 from Galle, 178 from Kandy, 155 from Colombo, 143 from Matara, 140 from Monaragala and 117 from Hambantota were confirmed yesterday.
Moreover, 84 cases each from Ratnapura and Anuradhapura, 67 from Badulla, 65 from Jaffna, 48 from Mullaitivu, 38 each from Trincomalee and Batticaloa, 33 from Ampara, 32 each from Nuwara Eliya and Vavuniya, 26 from Kegalle, 24 from Kilinochchi, 12 from Mannar, nine from Kurunegala and six each from Puttalam and Polonnaruwa were also identified.
20 persons who arrived from overseas recently were also among the persons who tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.
