Police say around 30 statements have been recorded pertaining to the case where a 16-year-old child died due to burn injuries at former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen’s residence.
Police Media Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said the three suspects were directed to the Judicial Medical Officer yesterday.
Police said they are conducting financial investigations into bank accounts of the broker and another individual who escorted the child to Colombo.
Police teams recorded another statement from a woman at the residence of the former MP, which resulted in the arrest of MP Bathiudeen’s brother-in-law.
The four suspects will be produced before the Colombo Magistrates Court tomorrow.
