2,674 individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.

2,669 individuals were identified as linked to the New Year cluster while five individuals who arrived in the island from overseas recently also contracted the virus.

Accordingly, Sri Lanka’s coronavirus caseload increased to 321,429.

Yesterday, 1,841 persons who contracted the novel coronavirus recovered and were discharged, raising Sri Lanka’s total recoveries to 286,365.

Accordingly, 30,243 persons are currently receiving treatment for the coronavirus at several facilities across the country.

Another 94 coronavirus related fatalities were confirmed in Sri Lanka, raising the death toll to 4,821.
